What I like about them as a company:

• They partner with Envision Plastics to collect ocean-bound plastic from beaches around the world by employing local communities – their recent batch of material was collected from the Yucatan and Baja Peninsulas. The ocean-bound plastic then gets processed in California and North Carolina, and currently makes up 20% of a finished Capsule.

• They're reusing their manufacturing scrap by re-grinding it and re-integrating it into the material mix. The reprocessed material makes up an additional 30% of a finished Capsule.

• All components of their packaging are either recyclable or compostable. The butter paper packaging is made from cellulose fibers making it both biodegradable and compostable. Their shipping envelopes and boxes are 100% recyclable, and shipping labels can be composted or recycled.
