Martina Thornhill Okay Cup

I'm a big fan of Portland ceramist Martina Thornhill. She creates beautiful, functional, and elegantly playful designs.

The Okay Cup solves my desire for the ritual of drinking from a ceramic mug, while knowing that I'll have to rush out the door to get kids to school, or rush myself to a meeting. The silicone lid transforms it from a sit-down mug into a grab-and-go cup without compromising either experience.

It's thoughtful design that acknowledges how we actually live, not how we wish we lived. I have several of her pieces on my wishlist.
