Moccamaster

I used to be a committed daily AeroPress user, but after having kids and the immediate need for a cup (or three) of coffee, I decided it was time to upgrade.

I wanted something that looked good on my kitchen counter and functioned well.

Designed by engineer Gerard Clement Smit in the 1960s, as part of his Technivorm company. The company’s name is derived from the Dutch words Techniek and Vormgeving, meaning “form and function,” reflecting his work across design and manufacturing. Still designed and handmade in the Netherlands, all plastic parts are BPA-, BPS-, BPF-, and phthalate-free, and come with a 5-year warranty. They also offer to repair any brewer for life.
